A star of TLC’s Sister Wives alleged that Robyn Brown used an NDA to silence her former family members during the sale of the family’s Coyote Pass property.

During the first installment of the show’s One on One episodes, Janelle Brown, ex-wife of Kody Brown, claimed that Robyn halted a pending first sale of the family property. The reason? A reported NDA.

Per PEOPLE Magazine, Janelle claimed a potential buyer was stalled when Robyn and Kody reportedly presented her and Meri Brown with a confidentiality agreement. They were given the document to sign as the land’s co-owners.

Janelle told One on One host Sukanya Krishnan, “What is so interesting is that the first time around, the first written offer, Kody, Meri, and I had completed the title work signatures like within a week. I sent in the checks to the title company so no one would balk about paying for the fees.”

'Sister Wives' stars Meri, Janelle, Christine, Kody, and Robyn Brown.

She claimed that Robyn did not sign the initial agreement as quickly as she, Meri, and Kody. “Robyn pops up and says, ‘Oh, I’m not going to do it unless you guys sign this confidentiality agreement,” Janelle claimed.

“Meaning that, you know, Meri couldn’t take any more action for her to get her money back, and that we would all be confidential, like we wouldn’t talk about this agreement,” the reality star told Krishnan.

Janelle concluded, “So Robyn hadn’t chimed in at all the entire six weeks, and at the very end, she comes with a completed document for us to sign. It felt like a total power play.” The initial deal for Coyote Pass fell through, but the buyer remained interested, and the land eventually sold.

PEOPLE Magazine previously reported that the property was purchased for $ 1.5 million. The sale took place in April, 2025.

The Brown family bought the Flagstaff, Arizona, raw land in 2018. At the time, Christine Brown was also married to Kody, and the property was divided into parcels.

The intent was for each wife to have their own home. However, no development took place at any point on the property from 2018 through its sale in 2025.

After leaving Kody in 2021, Christine sold her share of the property back to the family for $10, according to Us Weekly. Less than two years later, both Janelle and Meri left their marriages to Kody behind.

The second installment of the Sister Wives One on One season-ending specials airs on Sunday, January 18 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
