‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown Fears Face-Off With Ex-Wife
‘I don’t expect it to be easy,’ he said.
Sister Wives star Kody Brown appears to be anxious about an upcoming meeting with his ex-wife, Christine Brown.
On the TLC series’ Sunday, December 21 episode, Kody will meet with his ex and her husband, David Woolley, to apologize for his past wrongs. However, he believes that his meeting with Christine won’t go as smoothly as his apology to ex-Janelle Brown.
As reported by Us Weekly, Kody said in a confessional, “I think the easiest of the chores was going to see Janelle and apologize to her. So when I go see Christine, I don’t expect it to be easy necessarily.”
He added, “I think the last time we talked about our relationship may very well have been when she told me she’s done and she wants to move. I mean, I didn’t react really positively to any of that.”
“I am walking into an environment where trust has been killed. I mean, we don’t have trust.”
At the beginning of his apology, which aired at the tail end of the series December 14 episode, Kody told Christine, “I wanted to apologize with all my heart for how we broke up, for how it all went down. I want to apologize for being angry about it. I want to apologize for the struggles.”
Kody then told his ex that he was sorry he said he never loved her. Christine responded in a confessional, “Again, you just got to let that go. I remember what it was like, but I’ve got a new husband here now, and it’s weird, man. That’s a weird thing to say. I have a husband right here now, you know, to [say], ‘I used to love you.’”
However, while it appeared that the apology was more for Kody’s benefit than Christine’s the tides will turn during the sit-down very quickly in the second-half of the installment. This shift comes from Christine’s husband, David, who confronts Kody about his lack of a relationship with his children.
He tells Kody, “You know damn well you loved her because you wouldn’t [have] got married, you wouldn’t have all these kids, if you didn’t love her.” However, when Kody responds, “There is so much water under the bridge. I’m here to apologize,” David adds, “Start with your kids.”
