Kody Brown is making headlines on “Sister Wives” as he opens up about the apologies he believes are overdue — especially toward his current wife, Robyn Brown.
The patriarch of the much-watched TLC reality series acknowledged in a recent episode that while he’s been working to make amends with his former wives, he now feels he must also confront the ways he has neglected or hurt Robyn throughout their long relationship.
Us Weekly exclusively obtained the clip from the new episode.
Kody Has Been On An Apology Tour

The apology comes amid a season filled with emotional reckonings as Brown travels a path of accountability after the end of his plural-marriage life that once included ex-wives Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown.
Although his attempts to make amends with his exes have had mixed results, his reflection on his marriage to Robyn signals a deeper introspection about his role in the family’s past struggles.
Kody Explains Why He Feels Robyn Is Owed an Apology ‘Most of All’
In a confessional scene shared in previews of the show, Kody praises Robyn for her loyalty throughout the ups and downs of their years together.
“It hasn’t been very fair. I haven’t been very fair with you,” he said. “I’ve been apologizing to everybody. In spite of all how brutal they were. I was apologizing to them.”
He continued, “But you were never brutal. You’re never unkind. You’re never disloyal. I’ve been apologizing to everybody. I think I owe you an apology most of all.”
Their dynamic over the years has often been a focal point of the show’s narrative, particularly after his separations from his first three wives shifted the “Sister Wives” family structure dramatically. Robyn remained legally married to Kody after the others left.
Kody’s evolution this season goes beyond a single comment. Throughout “Sister Wives” Season 20, he has repeatedly expressed a desire to take responsibility for his actions, including acknowledging that he has been angry and that those emotions hurt the women in his life.
His apologies to Janelle and Christine, and his attempt to reconcile with Meri, have drawn varied responses, with some ex-wives expressing skepticism about his sincerity.
In the clip obtained by Us Weekly, Kody added that he has found peace going on his apology tour.
“I almost want to say, like, a phoenix metaphor,” Kody said. “This life that we had before has been kind of burned down. I’m like [not] burning it all down so that I forget it. I want to remember it and cherish it and move forward with the lessons that I learned from it in a relationship that is very beautiful, very safe, very whole.”
