The Dutton Ranch: Everything We Know About Beth and Rip’s Yellowstone Spinoff So Far

The Dutton Legacy Rides On

Yellowstone may have wrapped up its five-season run, but the Dutton saga is far from over. Paramount’s newest spinoff, The Dutton Ranch, is officially in development — and it’s set to follow the fierce and fan-favorite couple Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they carve out a new life away from their family’s chaotic past.

According to the official logline, “Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”

Returning Favorites

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are both back, reprising their iconic roles as Beth and Rip. Their chemistry, intensity, and unshakable devotion have long been the heart of the Yellowstone franchise, and The Dutton Ranch will put that relationship at the forefront.

Finn Little will also return as Carter, the couple’s adopted son, continuing his journey from troubled teen to young man under Rip’s tough-love mentorship and Beth’s fierce protection.

Meet the New Faces on The Dutton Ranch

The Duttons won’t be alone in their new venture. A powerful lineup of new characters will be joining the story, bringing fresh energy and plenty of conflict:

  • Annette Bening joins the cast as Beulah Jackson, the cunning and charismatic owner of a rival Texas ranch. Described as “powerful and charming,” Beulah is expected to be a worthy adversary for Beth — perhaps even her first real equal.

  • Ed Harris will play Everett McKinney, a “weathered veteran and veterinarian” whose kindness and humor might make him one of the few allies the Duttons can trust.

  • Jai Courtney has been cast as Rob-Will, an unpredictable and imposing ranch foreman who could bring both muscle and mayhem to the Duttons’ land.

  • Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs) will portray Oreana, a striking young woman with a free spirit who may shake up life on the ranch.

  • Marc Menchaca (Ozark) stars as Zachariah, a recently released ex-con trying to rebuild his life as a wrangler.

  • Juan Pablo Raba (Narcos) plays Joaquin, a “problem solver” on a nearby ranch who knows how to fix any situation — by any means necessary.

  • JR Villarreal (Landman) appears as Azul, Rip’s loyal right-hand man who knows the Duttons better than most.

Taylor Sheridan’s Next Big Hit

Series creator Taylor Sheridan returns as executive producer, ensuring The Dutton Ranch will stay true to the rugged tone and moral complexity that made Yellowstone a global phenomenon. The Duttons’ Next Chapter

The Dutton Ranch is just one of several Yellowstone spinoffs on the horizon. Others include Y: Marshals, starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, and The Madison, led by Michelle Pfeiffer as a Texas matriarch navigating loss and legacy.

But for now, all eyes are on Beth and Rip — the power couple who embody both the beauty and brutality of the West. As they face new enemies, forge unlikely alliances, and protect Carter’s future, one thing’s certain: the Dutton name still commands respect… and fear.
