TRAGEDY HITS ALBERT SQUARE: KOJO DEAD FROM DRUG OVERDOSE—ACCIDENT OR MURDER?
WALFORD SHOCKED TO THE CORE: A grim atmosphere hangs over Albert Square as the devastating news confirms Kojo Asare has died following a horrific drug overdose. The gentle young man, who had only recently been pulled into the clutches of crime to help his friends, has become the latest—and perhaps most tragic—victim of the criminal drug network tightening its grip on Walford.
Grief has quickly turned to burning fury as residents point fingers at those they hold responsible.
Blame Falls Heavily on Ravi and Okie
George Knight’s tears have dried, giving way to a cold, hard rage. He is utterly destroyed by the discovery of his brother’s body and has no doubt about the culprits. The entire Square knew Kojo was drawn into the operation run by Ravi Gulati and his ruthless enforcer, Okie.
It was Okie who previously forced drugs on Kojo, making him a vulnerable pawn. Just days ago, George desperately tried to get Kojo out of the danger zone at any cost. Now, those efforts have been reduced to dust.
“This was no accident! This was manslaughter at their hands!” George is reported to have roared, his eyes filled with vengeance and focused directly on Ravi.
The Treachery of Harry Mitchell
George’s fury, however, does not stop with the drug dealers. He is also targeting Harry Mitchell, Kojo’s flatmate, who callously allowed the criminals to turn their shared apartment into a drug den.
At one point, George believed he had convinced Kojo to leave Walford, but this tragic death proves that the danger had been rooted too deep. The most agonizing question remains: Who gave Kojo the final pill? And why did Okie return alone from the supposed trip to Luton?
Police have opened an investigation, but the residents of Albert Square know the truth. Kojo was an innocent soul crushed by the greed and cruelty of men without conscience.
Kojo’s death is a tragic wake-up call, and George Knight has sworn not to rest until blood is paid for with blood. Walford stands on the brink of an explosive, deadly war.
