‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff The Dutton Ranch Adds Four New Series Regulars — Here’s Who’s Joining Beth and Rip

New Faces Saddle Up at the Dutton Ranch

The Yellowstone universe continues to expand, and this time the focus shifts to Beth and Rip Wheeler in the highly anticipated spinoff, The Dutton Ranch.

Variety exclusively confirmed that Natalie Alyn Lind, Marc Menchaca, Juan Pablo Raba, and JR Villareal have joined the cast as series regulars. They join returning stars Kelly Reilly (Beth), Cole Hauser (Rip), and Finn Little (Carter), alongside Jai Courtney, Ed Harris, and Annette Bening.

The series follows Beth and Rip as they settle into life on their own sprawling 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch, finally enjoying the peace they fought so hard to secure. But peace never lasts long in the Sheridan-verse — competition, loyalty, and survival will once again test the Duttons’ grit.

According to the official logline:

“Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”

Meet the New Characters

  • Marc Menchaca (Ozark, The Outsider, Dexter: Resurrection) plays Zachariah, described as “a newly released jailbird trying to rebuild his life as a wrangler and cowboy.”

  • Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs, The Gifted, Tell Me a Story) joins as Oreana, “a striking young woman with a wild and free spirit.”

  • JR Villareal (Landman, Akeelah and the Bee) portrays Azul, “a whipcord wrangler and Rip’s right-hand man.”

  • Juan Pablo Raba (Narcos, Six, The 33) plays Joaquin, “a worker at a major ranch who fixes problems — big or small.”

Each new addition promises to bring a distinct energy to The Dutton Ranch, setting up potential alliances, rivalries, and conflicts with Beth and Rip as they navigate life beyond the Yellowstone gates.

Behind the Scenes: Sheridan’s Power Team

The Dutton Ranch is spearheaded by showrunner Chad Feehan, with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan serving as executive producer alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Keith Cox.

Voros will also direct episodes. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, continuing Sheridan’s long-standing partnership with Paramount.Beth & Rip's New Ranch Explained: How Far Is It From Kayce & Yellowstone?

What to Expect from The Dutton Ranch

The spinoff will reportedly explore themes of rebuilding, redemption, and the unrelenting pressure of protecting one’s legacy. With Beth’s fierce ambition, Rip’s moral code, and Carter’s coming-of-age journey at the center, the show promises to blend emotional storytelling with the rugged tension Yellowstone fans love.

Given Sheridan’s history with series like 1883, 1923, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves, expect cinematic visuals, gritty realism, and the moral gray zones that have defined the Dutton saga.
