‘Yellowstone’ Star Ian Bohen Joins ‘Lioness’ Season 3 Cast as Filming Begins in Fort Worth

Ian Bohen Reunites with Taylor Sheridan

Another familiar face from the Yellowstone universe is making his way into the Lioness world. Actor Ian Bohen, best known for playing ranch hand Ryan on Yellowstone, has officially joined the cast of Special Ops: Lioness season 3. The news comes as filming kicks off at SGS Studios in north Fort Worth, Texas, with Paramount confirming the renewal just last week.

According to Variety, Bohen will portray Grady, described as “a by-the-book Delta Force operator and primary K9 handler, skilled in battlefield tactics.” His addition marks the latest in a string of collaborations with creator Taylor Sheridan, following previous roles in Wind River and Sicario: Day of the Soldado.Lioness Season 3 Release Timeline & How to Watch: Every Actor Returning to Taylor Sheridan Threequel

Filming Underway in Texas

Production for Lioness season 3 is now in full swing across North Texas, including locations in Fort Worth, Weatherford, Stephenville, Strawn, and Glen Rose. Bohen has already been spotted dining with fellow cast members at B&B Butchers & Restaurant in The Shops at Clearfork, where actor James Jordan shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the group.

This isn’t Bohen’s first time filming in the area — he previously shot scenes for Yellowstone at Billy Bob’s Texas in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Previous seasons filmed internationally, with scenes shot in Paris, Mallorca, and Washington, D.C. For its third installment, the action firmly returns to Sheridan’s home turf in Texas, giving fans more of the gritty authenticity his productions are known for.

A Sheridan Universe Expansion

With Bohen’s addition, Lioness continues to grow as one of Sheridan’s flagship dramas for Paramount+. His creative empire already includes Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, and Tulsa King, and the addition of another Yellowstone alum strengthens the interconnected web of his storytelling universe.
