Yellowstone and Sweet Home Alabama star Josh Lucas is married! The actor, who appeared as a young John Dutton in Seasons 1, 2  and 5 of the show, shared on his social media that he and his long-term girlfriend Brianna Ruffalo have gotten married inside the Vatican on July 18, which he said was “Easily one of the greatest days of my life.” But who exactly is his new wife and how long have they been together? Who Is Josh Lucas’ new wife, Brianna Ruffalo? 

Lucas, age 54, is an American actor best known for his work on Sweet Home Alabama, Yellowstone and Ford v Ferrari. His new wife, Ruffalo, age 34, is a Los Angeles, California-based meteorologist. They have been together for quite some time now and got engaged back in June of 2024. 

“For the last 2 years in Every Way and Every Day this beautiful soul has made me and my life better, deeper, and more whole,” Lucas wrote on Instagram at the time. “I am so grateful and thrilled she said ‘Yes’. I WAY love you, Brianna. & Thank You to our families and all the people and places that made this come true. I am absolutely aware I got crazy lucky.”

Ruffalo also posted about their engagement, writing on her own social media, “Almost 2 years ago this fall, and with no expectations, Josh walked into my life… and we knew almost immediately we had each found our person in a way we’ve never experienced- on every level. This was the easiest and best question I’ve ever answered. So, here’s to forever with my love, my best friend. I can’t wait to keep living this life with you.” 

Currently, the couple doesn’t have any kids; however, Lucas does have a 15-year-old son named Noah Rev, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jessica Ciencin Henriquez. 

“My becoming a father has changed absolutely everything in my life, period,” Lucas told People back in December 2020. “I am more and more wanting to be a part of things that [are] playful and more the things I see my son really responding to and enjoying.”

A little over a year after getting engaged, Lucas and Ruffalo got married at the Vatican in Vatican City, Europe. 

“We are grateful to the many people who helped us get to this moment in the Catholic Church. I am so thankful for Father Winters at the parish I grew up in, and Sister Angelica at the archdiocese of Los Angeles- as well as several others within the archdiocese,” Ruffalo wrote on Instagram. “We also absolutely couldn’t have done this without our stellar wedding planning team, who coordinated with the Vatican. Thank you for making our wedding day so beautiful and easy.” 

Lucas then commented on the post, writing, “I love you! Easily one of the greatest days of my life. I am so so grateful.”

They have since embarked on their honeymoon, with Ruffalo sharing that they are currently in Capri, Italy, which she considers to be their “happy place.”
